They have a lot of Trams in Melbourne.  Kind of like the River Line in NJ.  They have one line that uses the old nostalgic trolleys.  This is it.

Raining

At the hotel at the top of Cradle Mountain but rain is steady, probably throughout the night into morning.  We leave around noon so won't see anything.
There were a couple of Wombats outside my room in the rain so got some shots of them.  Camera got wet but it seems to handle rain OK as long as not thoroughly soaked.

Snack

Some peanuts.

Sheepskin

Bought a nice sheepskin in a little town in Tasmania (Ross).  Ever so soft and beautiful.  Too big to carry with me so having it mailed.  Expensive to mail, hello, I'm in Tasmania, Australia!!
Have to take care of #1, moi.

It is authentic and good price, even with shipping.

On the bus

On our way to Cradle mountain.  No rain yet.  Later in the day when we arrive.

Monday, 22 Feb update

Back at hotel now.  When we arrived on Sunday it was clear and sunny.  Today, our first day if touring was overcast most of the day with light rain.  Fooey!  Grrrrrr.....

Fed the kangaroos, saw Tasmanian devils, saw koalas too.  Had a few brewskies along the way.  Fish and chips for dinner- big portions.  Lunch had a steak and pepper (spicey kind) "pie".  Pretty good.

Camera got a bit wet in the rain.  Afternoon was mostly in a museum- we had planned to go to top of highest Mtn but top was covered in cloud the whole day.

Oh well.

Fish & Chips

BIG portions!  Hobart, Tasmania.

Tazmanian Devil

They're real.

Ginger Beer

More Radiation

Taken on the Qantas flt fm LAX.  We are almost at Australia at around 38,000 ft.  Reading is quite high.  Normal at sea level is around 35-50.
So, radiation increases with altitude!
Ed, the science guy.
